Baby shower scrapbook layout

Good afternoon,
I've been getting stuff ready for a baby shower this weekend at church. My sister in law is having her first child in Dec. And the ladies at church along with her family are throwing her a shower Saturday afternoon. The theme is "loads of love" My DH helped me make these cute little clotheslines that I am hanging little socks, bibs, baby washcloths, hats, etc.. on to use as our centerpieces. A dear friend, Cathie had a pattern for the little matchbox boxes and opened her home so the ladies at church could work on the party favors. We used the Stampin Up! wheel, wash day to make the boxes, wrapped them with silver cord and hung a little tag that says "loads of love" with a tiny clothespin. Inside the boxes we put three little nugget candies. Each one with a decorated "wrapper", one said thank you, another said welcome little one, and the third was just using decorative paper. I'll post a pic of these after the shower so you can see them.

Now to the title of this blog:

Here is the scrapbook layout I made as a gift for her to remember, the shower. She just has to add the pictures.
There is a pocket on the second page to hold bookmark that goes along with the devotional that one of the ladies will be giving.
The devotional is titled "Don't just be a 'good mom', be a 'godly mom'." I can't wait to hear it! I think the best way to be a good mom is to try to be godly mom, and I'm sure I'll learn alot.

First Blog

Hi ladies,
I am a born again Christian who loves to stamp. I consider stamping one of the blessings in my life. It has been a foundation of some wonderful friendships, and it has been a tool for opportunities in ministering to others. I have named my blog saved stamper because as much as I love stamping, I want to make sure I give the Lord first place, and let others know He is my first love. I have many other blessings in my life, including my wonderful husband. and 5 darling children.

A little bit about me, I am in my mid-thirties, I homeschool my children, and I am a Pastor's wife. I was transplanted from the south, Gulf Coast area, to the chilling north when my husband and I got married 13 1/2 years ago. We lived in the Chicago area for the first eight years while my husband was a youth pastor. We then moved further north into Wisconsin where my husband started an independent Baptist church. I had never even heard of rubber stamping until our move to Wisconsin. Some of ladies who began attending our church were rubberstampers. I went to one lady's home for a ladies fellowship and we rubberstamped. I thought this is nice, but I'll never get into it. WRONG! After a few more times I was hooked. My husband encourages me in my hobby and is in the process of finishing off a room in the basement for my office. He's a little over 50% done. I'm hoping by Christmas it will be done.

The majority of my stamps are from Stampin Up!. I absolutely love their stamps, so much so that I became a hobby demo just for the discount. I plan to post some of projects here to share what I've been working on with you. These projects will be a variety of cards, scrapbook pages, and gift ideas.
